Columbus Bridal Show & CMH Fashion Show

Selected by Heyman Talent Agency to assist clients designers/models throughout the bridal show.

Team member on the operations crew to set up for 2013 CMH Fashion Show. Assisted 3 designers throughout the entire show from prep, to ongoing changes made to the collection throughout the show.

I was able to make connections with people in the fashion industry at a young age. I got to see the industry first hand and how intense it can be. This reaffirmed my excitement for fashion and my own personal style.

Practicum

Semester long deep study over multiple brands. I decided on all Columbus based brands for a deeper knowledge of my citys fashion history. This was long and difficult as there was many brands and factors to consider from multiple angles. I didn't want to have a bias judgement but just directly study the brands for who they have grown to be. I was able to use my knowledge on these brands during interviews which led to more interviews with the same brands.

Strategic Management- BCG Matrix

For my Strategic Management course I had to create BCG Matrix for a brand and I picked Abercrombie & Fitch. For the brand my opinions were that Star- Denim, Cash Cow- Sweats, Question Mark- Perfume, Dogs- Logo T-Shirts. I was succesful in my project and was able to use it during an interview with A&F. They appreciated my knowledge wanting to know my opinons on products which led me to further interviews.

Trend Report

Partner-based trend report on a current trend that we have seen emerging, ours being leg warmers. We first gave a brief history and global comparison of leg warmers. Then moved on to the purpose of this assignment which was to find a trend and back it up with sources including a professional source. Our sources focused on runway, mass market, celebrities, influencers, social media such as Instagram and Tik Tok. Throughout our presentation we interacted with the class asking questions. Lastly we finished with our diffusion curve. This project was tedious with the number of sources to gather but was consistently enjoyable to create. In the end all of our sources came together for a well backed-up report receiving full credit.

Spring 2024 Forecast

Group project that created a Spring 2024 forecast for the Alexander McQueen on Canva as well as a physical forecast board followed by a paper. Protopia was our trend inspiration for this particular forecast. This project included defining the brand/company name as well as defining the target customer. The next step was to pinpoint where the trend came from with this we created an overall theme forecast that emoboied the visual story and feeling of Protopia. We then relayed why this trend is important to the brand followed by the commercial value opportunity of the product line presented and the potential revenue for wholesale and industry. As a group we then developed color swatches and gathered textiles that matched our story. Lastly we ended with an apparel mood board and a non-apparel mood board that have emerged to support the theme.

The difficult part of this project was constantly making sure each item brought into it continued to convey the mood and feeling we were working towards but with keeping track of our vision this project resulted in full credit along with winning in class votes for interpreting our forecast the best and as well as class favorite.
